If you are thinking about converting your pool
from bromine to chlorine, the bad news is, you can't; at least not without
draining the pool & starting again. Bromide salts stay
in the water once they are introduced.
Over a long period of time, months actually, you
can begin to "water down" the bromide salts present in the water. In the
meantime, use
Super Soluble as a granular daily chlorinator. The only problem per se
is that the Super Soluble will "re-charge" the bromide salts converting them
back into usable bromine.
Furthermore, if you are trying to "stabilize" the
bromine, you can't do that either. Manufacturers have been trying to stabilize
bromine for
years without success. If you try, we can virtually guarantee that you'll
create other problems you don't want.
The bottom line is, if you want to convert your
pool from Bromine to Chlorine, you can't, unless you drain the pool & start
again fresh. The old axiom stands, "once a bromine pool, always a bromine
pool."
To Make Your
Bromine Experience Fantastic, add
Optimizer Plus® to create a level of 30 ppm to 50 ppm. Using Optimizer®
Plus will significantly reduce your bromine consumption and provide a wonderful, soft feel that is
usually not associated with bromine treated pools.
