What kind of usage does the pool get? How much shade or sun? What kind of filter system? How much are you willing to put into it? And others. Just because something is the most expensive, doesn't make it best. Likewise, if a product line is "the cheapest" doesn't mean it's the "most economical". "New" products most likely have many "quirky" problems that weren't found in field tests. Maybe that "new" product wasn't even field tested at all!
Below, you'll find 3 Alternative Pool Care systems that we recommend you look at. All are tried & proven. Each has its own pros & cons. What's our preference? Our preference is… (please go the bottom of this page)

When you're looking for the ULTIMATE in ease of use, brilliance in water clarity, feel, taste, pH control,
BioGuard®
Mineral Springs™ is the closest thing to a "perfect" pool care system that you can get. Perfection comes with a price. And there are many who are willing to pay it. Is it worth it? Definitely YES. Is it right for you? Call us.
After diligently using & monitoring
Nature2® Pool & Spa Purifiers
for about 5 years,
we're very satisfied with how they perform. When used properly, the Nature2® program provides a "low-chlorine" alternative for those customers who don't want to use chlorine. Most "discount" pool supply companies have the pool owner adding as much chlorine as they normally would without the Nature2 purifier, so we ask, "what's the point?" We'll show you how. It's simple & straight forward.
PristineBlue®
was brand new to Par Pool & Spa in 2002. We took the line on after many consumer requests for PristineBlue. It has been in the marketplace since 1991. In our interviews with other "Blue" dealers (who we trust), we were quite satisfied with what we heard & more importantly the results of their customers. Overall, our customers have been very satisfied as well. Like many other non-chlorine systems, PristineBlue® is a bacteria "suppressant" and is not a "primary" disinfectant.
In July 2006 Pristine Blue was granted a Seal of Approval from the British Allergy Foundation "for skin and respiratory irritation and is a safe alternative to chlorine treatments..."
A final note...
Our purpose is NOT to confuse you or the issue. A well-educated consumer really is the best customer. For that reason, Par Pool & Spa is committed to continually educating the owners and
staff with the most current information dealing with pool care. Of the 3 Alternative pool care systems noted, only Mineral Springs™ is a "primary" disinfectant. Yes, there is a difference. That's where our experience & education comes in.
